Cultural Venue
Alongside our Universal ITEC Trade and Investment platform, we have established a permanent Cultural and Trade Centre, currently in Lane Cove, NSW, but moving to a CBD Sydney venue in 2020. This facility is available to Consulates and private companies wishing to host receptions for culturally significant days, exhibitions or other events. Supporting Consulates are welcome to use the venue free of charge for events celebrating days of national significance.
The Universal ITEC story
After accepting an appointment as an Honorary Consul that Founder and CEO Chris May first realised how the lack of a practical structure negatively affected his ability to fulfil his key objectives of promoting two-way cultural ties and trade opportunities. With this in mind, he consulted widely with fellow Honorary Consuls and discovered they had similar issues. With support from 30 other Consulates, Mr May approached the NSW State Government with a proposal for a centralised venue for cultural events and exhibitions. Meanwhile, in his discussions with corporate Australia, it became crystal clear that business wanted a one stop trade and investment platform to identify major opportunities, planting the seed of the Universal ITEC platform.
