THE UNIVERSAL ITEC VENUE IN THE
DRAMATIC CITY OF SYDNEY
SYDNEY NIGHTS
With acknowledgement to the artist LYN HAMMOND
The interim Venue is established at 40 Burns Bay Rd, Lane Cove, 2066. Apart from providing the administrative headquarters for Universal ITEC it is a multipurpose facility for the benefit of the Consular and Diplomatic Corps. The Venue has four main purposes.
Firstly, it has been established to replace various venues on the outskirts of Sydney for supporting Countries to celebrate days of National Significance. The central location will better facilitate the attendance of key ethnic Business Leaders, Government Ministers, and the Consuls of other Countries.
Secondly, equally critical to the needs of the many Countries who conduct their Consular representation from the Embassies or High Commissions in Canberra and regularly visit Sydney, as the Gateway City, to welcome VIP’s and visiting Delegations with the need to conduct Meetings or Receptions in an environment with the required security.
Thirdly, the Venue will provide a briefing venue for Countries to make Industry specific presentations of opportunities to Australian businesses.
Fourth, the Venue will provide a retail facility for visiting exhibitions and trade missions from overseas to recover all or part of their costs in coming to Australia.
When there is no visiting exhibitions or trade mission CWM Galleries will provide an exhibition of contemporary Australian art. This is the case at the moment when the Pandemic is greatly restricting gatherings and restricting travel with hundreds of paintings and sculptures by leading Australian artists on sale.
In due course the Universal ITEC Venue will relocate to the Sydney CBD.
The Venue is open daily from 10am to 4pm.
